Meet Recap

The girls indoor track team lost to South Hadley High School with an upsetting score of 72-23. However, the team lost to Mohawk Trail Regional High School with a much closer score of 50-45. Despite the scores, there were some impressive performances. Freshman Baylee Edwards came 0.7 seconds away from qualifying for the state championship in the 55 meter dash with a time of 7.83. Sophomore Catarina Ferreira set a school record in the 600 meter and came only two seconds away from qualifying for Western Mass. The girls 4×200 relay, ran by Meagan Santos, Baylee Edwards, Sofia Manuel, and Emily Lima, also set a school record and came two seconds away from qualifying for states. Two school records in one meet is very impressive, and Ludlow High couldn’t ask for anything better.
