Freshman Darius Housey has been nominated by his coach for athlete of the week. This past weekend at the PVIAC championships at Stanley Park, a 3.1-mile race, Darius ran 17:41. This time makes him our 3rd fastest runner in Ludlow in the last 20 years. We have only had 3 runners (Dan Crowley, Zach Pietras, and Brian Crowley) break 18 minutes in their freshman year. Darius has a fantastic work ethic participating in the athlete prep program during the summer and completing a summer running program to help prepare him for great success. Two out of those 3 runners ended up WMASS champions during their high school careers. Great job Darius, we are very excited to see how you do over the next 3 years!!!
