  Ludlow High School    

The 2018-’19 school year saw 485 Ludlow High School students participate in athletics during the Fall, Winter and Spring seasons.

 

The Athletic Department continues its improvement while consistently placing individuals and teams in Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) and Massachusetts Secondary Schools Administrators’ Association (MSSAA) sponsored tournaments. This year has been highlighted with the Lions success in the classroom and on the playing surfaces. Individual and Team Championships were achieved at the League, Sectional, and at the State level of competition.

 

All athletes at the Varsity, Junior Varsity, and Freshman level were recognized for their athletic participation in each of the Fall, Winter, and Spring celebrations held at the conclusion of each season. Accolades were received by Ludlow High School student-athletes both on and off the athletic surfaces:

 

58 Athletes were recognized as an All-Conference Pioneer Valley Interscholastic Athletic Conference

12 Athletes were recognized as 1st Team Western Massachusetts players

10 Athletes were recognized as 2nd Team Western Massachusetts players

2 Athletes were recognized as Western Massachusetts Athletic Conference Honor Roll

1 Athlete was recognized as an All-State player

1 Athlete was recognized as All-New England and All-Region

2 Athletes were recognized as D1 season and D1 tournament MVP

1 Athlete was named WMass Player of the year.

1 Western Mass Individual Champions

4 Teams won the Pioneer Valley Interscholastic Athletic Conference League Titles

14 Teams were represented as Qualifiers in MIAA/MSSAA Post-Season Tournament Play

1 Team won an MIAA State Title

1 Coach received regional Coach of the Year honors

 

15 coaches were hired to fill vacant positions.  We welcome their knowledge and enthusiasm to teach our student-athletes the skills and fundamentals necessary for success on and off the athletic surfaces.
