Ludlow—

The Ludlow High School Athletic Department is excited to announce the appointment of Mr. John Archambeau as the new head varsity wrestling coach. Coach Archambeau is a 2006 graduate of Ludlow High School where he was a four-time Western Mass Champion and as a senior won the MIAA State Championship. Coach Archambeau continued his education and wrestling career at Springfield College where he was a two-time All-Conference and Collegiate Scholar All-American and was voted twice as Springfield College’s “Male Athlete of the Year.”

Coach Archambeau is currently serving in the United States Air Force Reserve and comes to Ludlow with an extensive coaching background that has prepared him for his new role as the head wrestling coach at Ludlow. Coach Archambeau has spent the last four years serving as the head wrestling coach/athletic director at New England College and the previous two years at Daniel Webster College where he held the same positions. At both schools, Coach Archambeau built wrestling programs from scratch.   Ludlow High School Athletic Director Tim Brillo stated, “Coach Archambeau brings a wealth of wrestling knowledge and experience to our program. Coach Archambeau’s passion and enthusiasm for the sport of wrestling is contagious. Our student-athletes are fortunate to have him as their head coach.”
