The “Bubble”:  The pandemic has forced local schools to come together and restructure our leagues for the Fall 2 2021 season.  In an effort to limit athlete contact Ludlow will be competing with a small group of schools based on travel and equitable competition.

Game Attendance In Our “Bubble”:  The Pioneer Valley Interscholastic Athletic Conference (PVIAC) Guidelines state that only home fans will be admitted at indoor and outdoor contests.  Per LPS School Committee Ludlow Athletics will allow home fans only, limiting one guest per player for indoor games and 2 guests plus 2 siblings for outdoor games.  When your student is playing at an away site, Ludlow’s parents and friends cannot attend.  The reason for this guideline is directly related to the state and local health department guidelines regarding the number of people that can gather for an event.

Outdoor Games in the Stadium:  Each Ludlow player will receive four digital season passes that can be downloaded from ludlowathletics.org.  Each athlete will receive an email to their school account a unique code with instructions on how to download your four passes. Passes will be scanned at the main gate prior to entry and are good for a one-time scan per event.  Football pass holders will enter and exit through the stadium’s main gate adjacent to the white ticket booth. Only individuals with valid passes will be admitted. As state guidelines on gathering size change, the PVIAC and Ludlow Athletics will revisit this policy. Family units should sit together in bleacher areas designated by a maroon paw.

Outdoor Contests on Practice Fields, Parks, Golf Courses, and  Other Open Areas: Contests played on open areas, on and off of the Ludlow High School campus, are not subject to the same ticket policy as games within the stadium.  We ask that parents and fans maintain a 6-foot distance with others, not in their household family unit.  No spectators are allowed on the bench side of practice fields or near the start and finish lines of a track meet contest.

Indoor Games in the Mullins Gymnasium:  Each Ludlow player will receive one digital season pass that can be downloaded from ludlowathletics.org.  Each athlete will receive an email to their school account a unique code with instructions on how to download your pass. Passes will be scanned at the entrance to the gym prior to entry and are good for a one-time scan per event.  Basketball pass holders will enter and exit through the main entrance of the school. Only individuals with valid passes will be admitted.

Off-Campus home events:  Spectatorsfor will be held to the same ticket policy for all contests played off the Ludlow High School campus. We ask that parents and fans maintain a 6-foot distance with others, not in their household family unit.  All spectators must abide by LPS policies as well as off-campus venue protocols.

Away Game Transportation: It is our goal to have enough bus transportation to transport all of our teams to their away games in accordance with DESE Transportation Guidelines.  If parents would prefer to take responsibility for their student’s transportation to and from an away contest, please visit the Ludlow High School Athletic Webpage to download and sign a transportation waiver form. This form should be turned in to the athletic director before the day of the event.

Live Streaming

Ludlow High School has partnered with the National Federation of High School Sports (NFHS) to live stream our home games through their network. All contests played in the LHS gym and stadium will be streamed.  Families can purchase a monthly subscription for $10 or an annual subscription for $69.99 to watch the contests. Ludlow High School Athletics will receive a 10% revenue share from each annual subscription purchased.  Subscribe here

Mask Policy: Surgical masks, medical-grade masks, or cloth face masks (cloth masks made with 2 or more layers of cloth) that have ear loops or ties (preferably loops) are required for all student-athletes and coaches at all Ludlow Public School athletic venues.  The wearing of gaiters or vented masks is not permitted. All spectators must wear a face covering while attending contests at any venue where our athletes compete.

Concessions:  The concession stand will be closed until further notice.  No outside food or drink is allowed in the main gym. Please dispose of any trash responsibly.

Restrooms at LHS:  Public restrooms are available and located in the Athletic Hall of Fame lobby for indoor events and at our concession stand for outside events.  All are encouraged to socially distance while using the facilities and masks are required at all times.

Senior Day:  Although we are limited to our gathering size due to state and local guidance, the athletic department will be working with each individual head coach and booster club to assist with any Senior Day plans.
