Quick Facts: Being a Tennis Instructor for adult and junior students is one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.
Steven Duquette’s experience playing tennis for LHS (Class of 1989) gave him a foundation of self-confidence. He is honored to help students enjoy the sport and give back to the community.
Steven represented the Lions as the #1 varsity singles player and played NCAA Division III tennis at the University of Rochester. During work-study, he managed the campus fitness center and provided ACE certified personal training to members and teammates.
A few years ago, Steven had the inspiring experience of training with Dr. Robert Ford Greene. Bob taught tennis at UCLA, wrote tennis books and played professionally at Wimbledon! For months, Steven absorbed wisdom for individual and team tennis instruction.
After 15 years as a sales professional in Information Governance, Steven began to focus on building rewarding relationships through tennis and fitness instruction. Returning to his roots, he volunteered as a USTA Safe Play certified Coach for junior tennis and in 2020 he co-captained a USTA mixed doubles team to 1st place. Steven is an active player that provides tennis lessons to a growing community of adult and junior students.
