Palmer, Ma – The Ludlow Lions fell to 4-3 after a 67-56 loss to the Palmer Panthers (5-1) Thursday night. The Lions offense struggled to get going as they only mustered up 14 points in the first half. A 42 point offensive explosion in the second half was not enough to make up for that slow start.
The Lions were led on offense and defense by Sophomore Jon Dubour (14 points). Jon gave the team a needed spark as the Lions went to a box and one on Sophomore Jack Lentendre (24 points) from Palmer. Sophomore Jamonte Beckett (4 points) also spent some time guarding Lentendre in an attempt to slow him down. Sophomore Kyle Fortuna (12 points) hit some big shots late in an attempt to bring the Lions back.
The Lions are back in action on Monday night when they will have their leading scorer, Ethan Schwartz (illness), back.. Ludlow will be tipping off against Hampshire at the Den at 5:30pm.
