South Hadley, Ma – The South Hadley Tigers used a 23 point third quarter to pull away from the Ludlow Lions 67-64 on Tuesday night in South Hadley. The Tigers were lead by Kelly (18 points) and Mendoza (12 points).
The Lions made the game interesting in the 4th quarter as the Lions were ahead by 1 point at one time late in the game. However, some clutch free throwing shooting by South Hadley put them up 3 points. Lions had a good look at 3 as time expired but it did not go in.
The Lions were lead by Sophomore, Ethan Schwartz (23 points) and Freshmen Felix Vargas (10 points) who played big minutes in the 4th quarter to help bring the Lions back.
The Lions (7-7) return to action on Wednesday night as they return to the Den to take on the Southwick Rams.
