East Longmeadow, MA – The Ludlow Lions used a 24 – 6 run in the second quarter to pull away from the Wolves of Hampden Charter School of Science by a final score of 70-41.
After the first quarter the score was tied 12-12. Senior Jack Serafino saw his first minutes of the season and helped give the Lions a spark on the defensive end. The Lions were able to force many turnovers which helped spark their fast break offense.
The Lions saw many solid all around contributions including Sophomores Braeden Schwartz (14 points) and Matthew Mendez (11 points). Additionally Senior Captain Tom Hitchcock (11 points) and Senior Joe Villano (10 points) had arguably their best games of the season so far.
The Lions (1-3) return to action on Saturday as they go on the road to face West Springfield. The Wolves (0-5) have the next few days off before traveling to Ludlow on Monday.
